Call For Paper

 
The symposium will showcase relatively new work on variations in school to work transition and how these affect the lifetime prospects of human from different social classes and across urban and rural areas. New work on skill mismatch, labor market outcomes and policy will also feature in the symposium. We invite everyone to participate and contribute research articles or academic papers to be presented in this event.
 
ABSTRACTS:
 
All abstract must be submitted using ISTSW online submission system. Presenters are advised to adhere to the following submission guidelines when writing  abstract:
  1. The title of abstract must not exceed than 15 words.
  2. Abstract must be written in English.
  3. The Abstract should state the following: what is research about,  methodology, findings, and conclusions.
  4. The abstract text must be in around 350 words.
  5. The complete abstract must be uploaded in MS format via the online system.

Each submitted abstract will go through a blind peer-review process, of which the notification of acceptance will be given.

 

FULL PAPERS:

  1. In order to be included in the symposium proceeding, paper must be written in 8-10 pages in 1.5 spacing. This is inclusive of all texts, tables, figures, and appendices.
  2. Presenters may opt to NOT their paper in the symposium proceeding. In this case, please inform the secretariat early.
  3. The symposium proceeding will normally be finalized before the symposium start date. Therefore, please submit  your paper within the stipulated time and settle your symposium fees as early as possible to avoid being excluded from this publications.

 

ORAL PRESENTATIONS:

  1. Presenter shall be given 30 minutes for presentation, comprising 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of discussion or QA.
  2. For the benefit of audience, the presentation should at least state the following: an overview of concept/research being presented, methodology, findings, and conclusions.

 

PUBLICATIONS:

  1. Full  papers presented in ISTSW 2017 will be published in Symposium Proceeding.
  2. Selected authors  will be offered an opportunities to publish  papers in an edited book.
