PENGARUH FAKTOR LINGKUNGAN KLIMATIK DAN KONDISI HABITAT TERHADAP PERILAKU BERSARANG BURUNG BONDOL HAJI (Lonchura maja)

Bondol haji (Lonchuramaja), adalah satu dari tiga jenis burung bergenus Lonchura yang hidup di lingkungan FMIPA UNY. Jenis lainnya adalah bondol Peking (Lonchura punctulata) dan bondol Jawa (Lonchura leucogastroides). Populasi bondol terbilang masih berlimpah, namun terdapat beberapa ancaman bagi kelestarian burung bondol seperti perdagangan satwa, predasi dan semakin sedikitnya lahan terbuka hijau. Diantara ketiganya, Bondol haji adalah yang pola hidup dan perilakunya belum banyak diketahui.
