Welcome to the conference
The rapid changes that are taking place in the world today, both new and existing technologies such as Internet of Thing (IoT), engineering technology, big data, and robots keep playing an influential factor in shaping people’s life. Developing and developed nations improve people's living standards through the development of fields between research fields (physics, biology, chemistry, and their application) and science education. Every country that succeeded in making their way to Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 questioned a new society that discussed these new technologies in all industries and social activities and gained economic development and solutions to social problems in parallel.
In such a transformation, sharing cross-section knowledge and information is not enough, and cooperation is tricky. In this era, promoting science for technology and education advancement is a necessity.
Because there is a limit to what people can do, it is necessary to find the information from the overflow of information and analyze it is a burden, and the workforce and scope of actions are related to the number and various levels of ability. Also, because of the many problems on issues such as disaster risk reduction, improving the quality of human life, and sustainable development goals, it is difficult to approve adequately.
Transformation into Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 will require a forward-looking society that breaks down the existing sense of stagnation, a society whose members have mutual respect for each other, transcending the generations, and a society in which each and every person can lead an active and enjoyable life.
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science invites researchers, educators, students, and practitioners to share ideas in the Science and Science Education International Seminar 2019. The theme of the SSEIS 2019 is “Promoting Science for Technology & Education Advancement.” The scope of this conference covers all topics but are not limited to the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, chemistry education, physics education, biology education, and science education.
