ASEAN Community consists of three (3 ) pillars , namely the ASEAN Political-Security Community ( ASEAN Political - Security Community / APSC ) , the ASEAN Economic Community ( ASEAN Economic Community / AEC ) , and the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community ( ASEAN Socio - Cultural Community / ASCC ). In particular , the ASEAN leaders agreed to accelerate the establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015 and to transform ASEAN into a region with free trade of goods, services, investment, skilled labor, and capital flows. Indonesia and Malaysia became the initiator of the establishment of the Political Community Security and ASEAN as well as playing an important role in the formulation of two other pillars.

The role of Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries in Asia Tenggara in the realization of ASEAN community also needs to be supported by higher education institution in those countries. One way to enhance cooperation between higher education institutions is through an international seminar. Through the activities of the international seminar will strengthen the relationship between educational institutions in the region and beyond and gave birth to strategies for implementation of the ASEAN Community.
