SUBTHEMES

1.  Picture of 21st century music education in the world
The 21st century is quite different from the previous centuries. The 21st century is a  transparency century.
Anyone can know the development of science, technology, and art in various parts of the world through
electronic media and internet. How the portrait of the development of the world of music education today
needs to be described.

2. Collecting, developing, and constructing  the basic theory of the relationship, and
the effect of music on psychology, physics, social, and other diciplines or vise versa,
and its utilization in current human life
Basically music is not just art, there is a science that the essence of its order can be developed into a theory
that is deterministic as with the science of nature, psychology, medicine, and so forth. Therefore we need to
develop the basic theory of music that is associated with exact sciences. The discovery of these theories
can be developed as a basis for developing the use of music in science in other fields, and vice versa.

3. The Innovation of curriculum, teaching and learning, media and technological evaluation,
and environment in accordance with the development of the 21st century
Curriculum is the heart of education, teaching and learning is the blood of education, evaluation is the guide of education, technology is the tool of education, and environment is the support of education.

4. Development of TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content of Knowledge) in music learning
Intersection of teachers' pedagogical and content knowledge with technologies that help facilitite student leanring.

5. Music learners  and  the profiles of music teachers in the digital area on the 21st century
Behavior of 21st century learners who are very familiar with mobile phones, gadgets, laptops and others more quickly
receive information and have a different style with the previous centuries. Changes in the character of learners, also
determined teacher profiles that are different from before, but without having to leave the essence of the function of
teachers as educators. Thus, comprehensive studies are needed in relation to the right teacher profile in the digital era.

6.The harmonious existence of Eastern, Western, traditional, and modern music for all types of music
in the digital revolution era
The rapid development of information technology spurs rapid globalization, so that the barriers between countries and cultures with one another thinner, for it needs an understanding of the culture and music between countries and cultures to be entirely all can develop in synergy.

7. The development of music as an educational media in post globalization era
The function of arts including music is not only as an entertainment but also as a educational media, a means of
religious and customary rituals, and as a presentation of aesthetic. Furthermore,as a part of art, music can form
personality, deepen religious attitudes, enrich ritual processions, and improveaesthetic qualities.
In this 21st century anyone can access all science, technology, and art including music through electronic media and
internet. A variety of ideology will affect the students. Norms about good and bad that adopted learners also depend on
the internet content accessed by learners. Teachers and parents find it increasingly difficult to control learners.

8.The development of critical thinking ability to respond to various phenomena of
the latest music development wisely
In the mid-20th century, Bloom, Krathwohl, Simpson, Gagne developed a taxonomy of cognitive, phsicomotoric and
affective aspects of learning. The theory affects the educational mindset of the world up to half a century. The theory
was revised by Anderson at the end of the 20th century with emphasis on creativity. The advancement of technology and information in the early 21st century has succeeded in making the world more intelligent and
creative. To be able to survive in the 21st century society is not enough to be creative, but also need to be innovative.

9. Music research development in the 21st century
The task of research is to develop theory. With this theory research can solve various problems, produce products, and give direction to the development of the world of music education.

10. Potential contributions of  music to the development of various fields
Music is an integral part of life. Most of the activities of human life can not be separated from the music.
Both directly and indirectly music plays a role in other fields, and vice versa. Other fields advances contribute
to musical development.as well as music can serve to strengthen the achievement of goals for other fields.
